Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? Maybe we’ve already got an answer, if not please feel free to reach out to us!
What if its my first time on track?
First off, how exciting! You’ll need a few things but just having the interest to get on track is the first step. Southeast Mini Moto is for new and old riders alike, we do not discriminate against speed or abilities. We encourage everyone to further their skillsets at their own pace. We do require you to be “parking lot proficient” meaning the ability to maintain and control the machine comfortably at speed, knows where all controls are and knows how to use them. Please see our Tech Requirements page for more info on Rider Gear and Bike requirements.
What Gear do I need to get on track?
To comply with Southeast Mini Moto’s gear requirements, participants must wear either a one-piece or two-piece leather (or equivalent) suit with the two piece suit having the provisions to attach the pants to the jacket (We do not recommend 2-piece suits but they will pass tech) Additionally, riders should equip themselves with motorcycle racing gloves, shin-high motorcycle boots, and choose between a DOT-approved full-face helmet or a DOT motocross helmet with goggles. Goggles Must be worn at all times if wearing a motocross helmet. Visors are to be down if at speed on course
Wristbands are required for everyone in attendance.
For insurance purposes Southeast Mini Moto requires spectators, riders and all crew to wear a wristband at all times while on property. Wristbands are included with a trackday/race admission. For additional please see the event registration form and see a SEMM Staff Member for assistance.
Are Spectators allowed at SEMM events?
Southeast Mini Moto is a family friendly organization and as such we welcome spectators of riders and non-riders alike. WRISTBANDS ARE REQUIRED BY EVERYONE ON SITE so please check-in with one of the SEMM staff to get a wristband.
**PLEASE NOTE**
NOT ALL EVENTS ARE PUBLIC ATTENDANCE EVENTS
if you have any questions about any events we highly encourage you to reach out to us at any of our forms of contact. Special Provisions can be made.
How Can I Help?
Southeast Mini Moto is always needing help for day of events, corner marshall and pit in/out. If you have experience in a role and feel compelled to assist, reach out to one of the SEMM Staff and we would love to have your help. Southeast Mini Moto is a community built around friends, family and fun where a race breaks out at the end of the day.
Is alcohol allowed?
Southeast Mini Moto is a family friendly organization and we understand the days get long and the racing at night gets intense. Drinking and riding is strictly prohibited with a zero tolerance policy. For those done riding and in your paddock we ask that they drink responsibly and have those in your party do the same. Tops go up, kickstands go down. We appreciate your understanding and help to keep SEMM a safe and friendly environment for all in attendance.
